The 96 hectare estate of Domaine les Bois de Bézyl lies on the south eastern edge of Sixt sur Aff near Redon. Originally built in the Palladian style by the Marquis de Lanascol in 1870, this Breton country house and its grounds have undergone drastic renovation work since 2003.

The artist decorator Bert Strik is creating an art deco themed interior, with wonderful, complex nature-inspired frescoes and leaded glass windows.

Its beautifully maturing gardens, lake, grassy expanses, walled garden and woodland afford stunning views over the surrounding area nestling in the heart of Brittany, with the famous GR39 footpath practically on its doorstep.Nature lovers will delight in the chance to spot various varieties of insect, flora and fauna, including wild boar, roe deer and bats, whilst children are guaranteed to love the free-roaming ducks, chickens and sheep.

The estate also comprises several elements of historical interest, such as a hunting lodge, two chapels, a barn and a newly restored well. Myriad paths intersect the estate, providing plenty of opportunities to get away from it all and breathe in the country air.

Bézyl offers a number of different accommodation options:

Bed and breakfast
5 double rooms (on the rez-de-jardin) available on a B&B basis.

Château rental
Self-catering accommodation with option to hire the rez-de-jardin, first floor and/or second floor of the château. Outside catering and entertainment arranged upon request.

Gîte rental
The Bézyl estate also features a beautifully restored cottage that sleeps up to 6 people. This is hired out on a weekly basis all year round.
